A Neo-humanistic story

Two days ago, I was outside watching the children in the playground. They saw that a very tiny insect was caught in the spider web. It was struggling to get out from that sticky web. The children called me and expressed their concern and pity for the tiny creature. “We have to help it!”, they cried. “Alright just let me get a stick,” I said. I ran to other side of the playground to get it. But whenI was just coming back with a stick in my hand, the spider came and was already wrapping the tiny insect with its web.It left afterwards and went to the corner under the roof of the playhouse. The children were screaming, “Didi, hurry up! But I thought it was too late and so I just said that we cannot do anything anymore. The children were not happy with it and insisted that I help the insect. So I gently took the insect from the web with a stick and set the insect on top of the playground table and unwrap the sticky web. Then it started to move a little bit. The poor insect seemed to have suffered shock from the spider. I laid it on top of some leaves in the bushes so it can start to relax and then fly. The children were all watching with so much curiosity. They were so happy that the tiny insect was now safe from the hungry spider.

Hello everyone again!

Namaskar. Yesterday our kindergarten in Helsinki successfully held its Spring Party with full attendance of parents and their other children , friends and grandparents. We were so busy preparing the whole morning while each parent brought some goodies to be shared in the party (and of course they were pure vegetarian). Parents were delighted to see their kids perform a Spring theater and sing songs on stage. They looked great with their costumes.

...coming soon is the party of the other kindergarten in Espoo.

Namaskar everyone!

Sorry for the delay of this news but April & May are really very busy months for me.

A social forum was held in Helsinki on 21st and 22nd of April. Three of our monks from different countries came to participate and help us in the forum: Dada Rasatmakananda, came from Africa, Dada Vedaprajinananda came from Albania and Dada Kamaleshvarananda, came from United Kingdom. During those 2 days we had, 1 Prout seminar given by Dada Vedaprajinananda which was attended by 15 people. They requested Dada to sing his some of his songs. Dada also taught them meditation.

A seminar on climate change was attended by about 25 teenagers who were mostly vegetarians. Didi Annapurna and Brother Shantatma gave it jointly. Shantatma explained scientifically how the climate change and how it can change their lives accordingly.

Didi Annapurna and I joined the program of United Religions. Me,as the representative ofAnanda Marga was one of the panelists in United Religions panel discussion. I spoke about the world crises and the different social problems we are facing at the moment, and how spiritual movements through meditation can help heal them. I spoke about Ananda Marga´s view on reincarnation when I was I questioned about it and several people accepted it as logical. There were 23 people who attended this discussion.
During the forum, Dada Rasatmakananda met one of the URI ((United Religions Initiative) Europe / Global Council Member and was asked that if Dada can participate in URI-assembly "Interfaith Dialogue: A tool for peace in Europe" which will take place June 14 - 18, 2007, in Antwerp, Belgium. His program is now confirmed and all of Dada´s expenses will be covered by URI itself.

And lastly, Dada Kamaleshvarananda gave a seminar on spirituality and inspired everyone with his deep wisdom.
