a Poem for Baba

Namaskar everyone,

Here is a poem that I wrote after one of my Tantrk Kapalik nights few months ago. It is for my Baba, a humble offering to Him. I don't know any rules in writing a poem. I just wrote what came in my mind. I hope that Baba will excuse my style.


OH SWEETEST ONE, MY BELOVED

In this path I tread towards You
The flame of love is burning deep
You came as a lamp to my life
And flood my heart with Your light.

The brightness of Your lamp
Dispels the dark clouds shrouding my way
And turned my mind in sweet caress
The darkness dispelled by Your light
Was swept away quietly to another place

Oh Sweetest One, my Beloved
You shine more than any star in the sky
Place my love in Your heart
And let me rest in your blissful lap

Each and every breath of my heart,
I offer it wholeheartedly for You
For you and me to make a bond of love
Like a shield that cannot be broken by any force
That even the wind will be shy to brush its wings against it
Where the waves of the sea will be obliged to come
And caress it with its gentle strokes
Just to be lost in the greatest ocean of all.

I won’t forget our mystic union
In that dark new moon night
Where you reveal the secret of Your light
And woke me up from the deep slumber I had been

You, the Guiding light, that shines so deeply in my heart
You brought me back to where I belong
It is a place where any soul would love to come
Where You weave love and steal the pain
Joining all as one.
